GOODBYE TO DR. DIXON, Thursday, July 1, 2010, 11:00am- 1:00pm, CAHS Faculty Lounge---

It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming Dr. Dixon to CAHS as the new principal. We have appreciated every new idea, and every inspiring word and act during her two short years at CAHS. Her hard work has paid off, but we will miss her. She has been fortunate to have been offered a promotion as Assistant Superintendent for the Saginaw, Michigan School District and will be leaving us very shortly. There will be a small appreciation gathering for her July 1, 11:00am-1:00pm. Everyone who is able is welcome to attend.

CAHS Alumni

The PTA values all past and present educational experiences of the CAHS alumni, and feels that it important to continuously share those experiences with the current CAHS students to keep them motivated and inspired to aim high with a "can do" attitude. We appreciate all of the help and support the CAHS alumni have given the PTA in the past. If you are willing to help support the PTA, please send us an email at cahs.pta@gmail.com. PASS IT ON Book Swap

Friends of CAHS:

Everyone in the CAHS community (and beyond!) is invited to look through their bookshelves at home. See any books that you're willing to part with? Paperbacks would be especially good, but any and all books are eligible. Bring those books to the CAHS library and drop them into the PASS IT ON collection box there. They will be placed on the special PASS IT ON bookshelves in the school library.

ALL CAHS STUDENTS are welcome to help themselves to these books ...for FREE! Once you've taken a book, maybe you'll find that you have one of your own to give away. Or maybe you'll want to pass that book on to the next person -- just drop it in the donation box again. It's RECYCLING FOR THE MIND!

Friends of CAHS is hoping that this program will provide many CAHS students with some terrific reading. So...grab a book and PASS IT ON! We need to start off the school year with the "Pass It On" shelves in the library filled to the max with books! Won't you please take a couple of minutes right now to look around your house for some books you're willing to donate? We'd like to invite you to participate in OPEN HOUSE, OPEN BOOKS -- our Fall effort to gather as many "Pass It On" books as we can.

When you come to Open House on Wednesday, October 1st, bring along some books to donate to this program. That evening, you can either drop them off in the library or at the Friends of CAHS (PTA) table in the lobby. (We'll also accept books in the collection box in the library ANY time!)
